Innovations demonstrated

Fuels

Ammonia bunkering

Trammo, OCI and James Fisher Fendercare conducted an ammonia bunkering pilot between two vessels at a Rotterdam terminal, preparing the port for clean ammonia bunkering.

Road

Automated & electric trucking

Automated electric driving and automated charging demonstrated on real port corridors, plus green connected trucking.

Water

Autonomous e-barge

Autonomous vessels digitally share sailing intentions to generate collision warnings and alarms, informing skippers earlier. Operations between Rotterdam terminals have been extended.

Energy & rail

Electric port equipment

An electric loading tower, a hybrid shunting locomotive and shore power peak shaving keep energy flowing where diesel used to.
